Lovely…MRI results
I got a call just a little while ago from my doctor’s office. My doctor isn’t in but another doctor at the clinic took a look at the MRI report. There are no definitive masses but it is abnormal. The MRI report suggests an additional test of an enhanced MRI – another “better” machine or dye’s the receptionist wasn’t clear on what was actually suggested. We made an appointment for next Wednesday morning with my doctor to go over the results and see if the test really is needed.
Now this can mean many things!
1. The MRI reporters don’t realized I had a brain tumor removed already (despite the fact it was written on the test referral, told over the phone when the appointment was scheduled and that I had mentioned on my own paperwork when I filled it out).
2. The other doctor didn’t look into my past MRI’s to compare results.
However this doesn’t mean I don’t feel that sort of panic that sets in after you’ve gone through one of these things already. Waiting a week is going to be killer on my nerves. I’ll have to tell Shea when he calls or comes home and hopefully that will be the last time I think about it. At least that is my hope, chances though of that happening are pretty slim, I don’t expect to sleep much.
So we wait in a state of unbalance until next Wednesday. Thankfully today is a lovely day out side and I can go outside and watch the girlies play while working a little on my laptop if it’s behaving today.
Exciting Day yesterday *sarcasm*
Yesterday I sat down in my bedroom to clean the weekend mess and put away all the clean clothes I’d been procrastinating on. I flipped on the Roku and watched a movie to pass the time and with like 30 mins left the girls decided to come in the house instead of playing outside. Fine, no problem, until Kathleen brings me a blister pack of Benadryl and says Sammi ate some.
Kathleen was kind enough to show me half a pill on the floor and there were two blisters open. I probably should have called the Poison control center and wouldn’t have had to worry about the ER trip, but I wasn’t going to wait just in case. So we piled in and went to the ER.
Thankfully what she could have eaten was a non toxic dose. They gave her some charcoal which she drank half of on her own, and I had to use a syringe to help the rest go down, she was covered in black from fighting me, but thankfully the shirt will be mostly okay, it was dark brown, except the pink sleeves.
We went to Walmart afterward as I had to keep her awake for the next 6 hours and that was a good place to kill some time. We stopped at the in store McDonald’s to get some food in the girls, and some caffeine, but they weren’t taking cards so I had to go do my little bit of shopping for sprite for Sammi to keep hydrated with, and get some cash. We ate in the store then left to go home where the girls finished their lunch and played with their Dragon toys.
Sammi is doing fine I probably didn’t need to go to the ER just call poison control, I have a scale this time lol but I cautioned on the safe side this time instead of waiting longer.
I still have NO idea where she got it. Shea and I just cleaned out the bathroom and threw them outside in the garbage and went on last Thursday. The only place I can think that she might have gotten them was in a “junk” drawer in the kitchen that I must not have closed all the way cause it’s really hard to open and close. I will be cleaning that out to make sure no more pills are lying around. I really thought we’d had everything up out of reach *sighs*. And Sammi is ten times worse than Kathleen was about putting things in her mouth.
Web of Destiny – first post
Rae got her bio posted so we can start writing together. yay! Now the writing has started – By the Ferry. It’s not much so far but even if it’s just me and Rae maybe my writing bug will be satisfied. Though I’m hoping once we get started, more people will join us. We have a few lurkers and one other contributor, but Neon Elf is in the middle of moving to a new state where he’s a new job so he’s not been around working on building the world up. Hopefully he’ll be around after he gets settled, and maybe we can pull him into some RPing with us. We’ll see how things go once they get better.
If you are interested in reading or even doing some world building exercises, we’d love to have you. Come check us out at wot.just-us.net, we’d love to see you there.
Birthday Party done
Yesterday we had Samantha’s 3rd birthday party. While the girls and and their little church friend (a friend of the family’s boy) had an awesome time it wasn’t as big as it could have been. Their little cousin showed up for a little while and Sammi was a bit mean to her, she was pushing her thankfully the little girl was a tough one and got right back up with no problems. Sammi got a talking to and a smack on the diaper it didn’t happen again thankfully.
The kids played with the bubble machine Mam bought for the birthday party. The hunted easter eggs. Then we went inside for cake ice cream and presents. Sammi got quite the haul. She got a big tonka truck, several construction vehichles, a garbage truck and cop truck that have sounds. A recycle truck with “legos” and parts, a farm set from her Aunt Stacey and Uncle Mig, a John Deer tractor with wagon and a pig and cow puppet set that were the only girly thing she got. Oh yes and an inflatable chair and a pair of Dora sunglasses.
The kids then went outside and hunted eggs again. Then everyone went home. Of course the kids fell asleep on the way back from Mam and Pawpaw’s house, as usual when we leave at 4pm. But thankfully they went to sleep relatively easily at 8pm when it was time for them to sleep. I was exhausted so I was glad for that. I slept great until: 3:11am which I’m not sure why I woke up then. I didn’t get up until 7am when the girls woke up, minus the time I spent awake fixing Shea’ lunch at 4am. But the sleep was all good and the girls are now playing outside or rather Kitten is and Sammi’s playing with her toys inside.
It was a good day, next week will be similar.
MRI done
Welp, had my MRI done today. They didn’t say anything and I’m pretty sure I nodded off in that noisy thing and started myself but I know not to move so I think it was just me mentally jerking cause I was frozen still while lying there.
They sent me home with a disk for any referrals, if there are any. I’ll just keep it with all our other paperwork for now. The doctor will get a report of it all, with out another scheduled appointment makes me wonder what is next.
Also turned in the heart holter thingie I wore for the past 24 hours and I was ready for it to go the damn sticky pads were making me itch like crazy. That’ll take a better part of a week to get results back so we’ll see what he says.
So not it’s a waiting game.
I’m still tracking my headaches, not so much my food anymore, that’s a bit more annoying and I’m pretty sure that it’s not relative to anything. I will however continue to track meds of any kind, specifically any Over-the-counter meds I take for various other pains – which to date I’ve not taken any of. I’ll record any caffeine I have too.
So now we wait.
Syncope? don’t think so but I’m not a doctor
I had a doctor appointment today related to last Thursday’s post about that weird fall I had in the morning.
He thinks it was a syncope or more easily put “fainting” – a loss of conscientiousness and posture. I do not recall “passing out” just falling down. There was no black out nothing, major wobbly knees and I “fell down”. But as I was looking u syncope, I also noticed it could be related to migraine attacks. I did have an aura around 4pm and I did have a headache after I “fell”. So it’s possible, but I didn’t black out or anything so I’m still skeptical.
Today’s appointment let to some testing and more testing to follow. Thursday I will go to get a Holter monitor put on. Basically monitoring my heart for 24 hours. Then on Friday I will turn it in for their analysis and then I will go a few streets down for a MRI of the brain. Today they took some blood, did an EKG of my heart and an echo of my heart. The only results I have is the EKG and the doctor said that was fine.
My biggest concerns are brain tumor of course, anemia and diabetes. Three things that could be life altering. So we’ll see what this all comes to.
Very very very odd
Today I moved the van to the park so that the painters next door wouldn’t accidentally get spray on it. I jogged back from the park as I didn’t want the girls to wake up with me gone. As I got to the porch I started to feel like I was going to fall down, my knees felt like jelly . I don’t know how to explain it but it was like I folded in on myself as I ‘fell’. There was a weird feeling in my stomach as I moved. I just laid their for several seconds going what the hell was that.
I was able to get back up to my knees and crawl in the house, my knees still didn’t feel like they could hold me. After getting into the house I felt better and could get up and walk.
I have a slight pain in my belly where I felt weird at and my back aches. They may not be related to headaches but I thought this was worth noting in my headache journal.
But needless to say it has me concerned. I still don’t feel top of my game, but that’s probably the adrenaline still in my system from that freak out, as this is typically how I feel after that.
Note to others: When I feel I first sat down then went backwards to lay down it wasn’t really falling I didn’t hurt myself in anyway falling. And I am keeping myself indoors as much as possible today and near a wall or something. I really don’t know what it was all about and I now have a slight headache on the left side. Something else to note in the journal. I kinda felt this one coming on earlier this morning. And I have no Imatrix either. Hope it’s not bad.
Got our hair cut
This past Saturday we spend the day at Shea’s folks house, helping them with some yard chores. We’ll be back up again sometime soon for Shea to implement his water system idea, but we don’t know when yet.
But at the end of the day we went to Miss Neice’s and got our hair cut. The girls first got their normal trims and they look adorable in them as usual. They were both very good and sat very still.
