I was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up there until I entered high school, at which time we moved to a small town in Upstate New York. Edmeston was not something I was happy with but now I think it was a very good move for me and my family. After high school I went to the State Univeristy of New York at Oneonta for three years before transferring to Polytechnic University at Farmingdale. I graduated from both schools technically in 2000, with a BS in Mathematics and Computer Engineering. Immediately after graduation I started working at Symbol Technologies, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer. I worked there for four years before I moved to Pascagoula, MS where we currently live now.
I am the mother of two lovely little girls. My husband and I met at Dragonmount.com around 1999. We’ve been married since June 2001.
What I do?
I am a freelance web designer and developer. I currently have a very small client list, most of which are pro-bono. When the girls go to school I hope to be full time either in freelancing or at a company that does web design/development.
I am fluent in W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. I use PHP and mySQL on a regular basis for server side coding and database storage. I am currently learning on my own time: AJAX, jQuery, Flash and asp.net (C# variant).
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading and writing, though I have been more focused on the writing side because it’s easier with the baby. I also enjoy cooking, not to the point of actually expermenting or creating new things, but dinners, baking and watching tv to learn more about cooking. My work is also something I love to do and it’s a very big hobby when I’m not whiling away hours with the girls or at Dragonmount. My husband and I are playing World of Warcraft. We started play Dark Age of Camelot and it is by far our favorite MMO, but sad to say the game is slowly declining. We tried Warhammer Online, but it didn’t hold our interest so we are back to playing WoW.
