Brief History: Reana was born to a wealthy merchant and his family. The San Family lived in Cairhien. Mikal San, Kayla’s father, was one of the many merchants who used the Silk Path through the Aiel Waste. He earned more than enough money bringing back trade from the land beyond the Aiel Waste.
Ileen San, Mikal’s dearly beloved wife, was a seamstress on the side. She was well known in the community and sold much of what her husband brought back from beyond the Waste. Ileen’s shop was below their house. She had help to run the shop because she had 3 other children to take care of as well as her newborn daughter, Kayla. Ryan was going to be 8 come the next harvest. Myca and Reana had just turned 7. Three days after their sister, Kayla was born, she was kidnapped.
Dylan Resad had kidnapped Kayla in hopes of gaining money from their family. But it was in the middle of the Aiel War and the ransom note never hit the home. Reana’s father died during the War and the shop failed because the ties to Shara were broken now after the war. They family managed poorly onto things.
Reana eventally took up a career at the local school. She was learning to become an engineer.
She’d been in the school for a few years and had heard rumors that a lady who looked distintly like her had killed Dylan Resad. They said she was from Tar Valon. Reana went off to Tar Valon in hopes that it was her sister Kayla who had been kidnapped. It had been, but the women called her self Matalina and wanted nothing at all to do with her. They looked distinctly alike, but Reana had to leave there with out great news for their family. Kayla was alive, but wished nothing to do with them.
After returning home Reana continued her life in the school as if nothing had ever happened.
My plans: to use Reana San as an identity for when Matalina does evil things… they look alike and if Matalina wears a dress they could be twin sisters except for the age difference. I don’t intend to kill her off only to use her identity. She is Cairhein and Matalina is genearlly in Tar Valon and not wearing a dress.
